Summer is hopefully coming in the Netherlands. I love wrap dresses, but I don’t like woven fabrics. So when we were invited to the summer blog tour of New Horizons I immediatly thought about the Boardwalk dress, but I also wanted to make it from knit fabric. I mashed it with the Manhattan Dress.

I really love wrap dresses, I fell in love with the boardwalk dress, but don’t like woven that much. So I altered the boardwalk dress to a dress suitable for knit fabrics. My fabric is a soft Rayon Knit from my store, the Levia.
For the bodice I took the Manhattan as a base for the top. I took the size according to my measurements. I made a sleeveless version, so I followed those lines. I drew also the mirrored side on my tracing paper, So I had the complete front at once. After that I layed it on the boardwalk pattern and decided which line to follow for the wrap dress. My complete top is lined. For the next one I will raise the neckline a few centimeters.
After I drawed the top I coose the size skirt which matched the wide of the top. So I didn’t look at sized of the skirt, but at the with of the top of the boardwalk and my Manhattan/Boardwalk Mashup and took the closest size.
Make sure you check out the other stops on the blog tour, to see all the great summer must haves, that are also on sale on New Horizons Webshop.
